Troubleshooting Goodbye Gum! Systems
Are you experiencing problems with your Goodbye Gum Removal System?
Choose which product / system you own and see solutions to the most common service issues that operators experience:
Electric Backpack System (White/Blue)

Battery Not Charging
If your battery is not charging, check all battery connections to see if they are in good condition and not damaged. If you find damage then contact us to arrange a repair.
Next check the battery charger fuse to see if it has blown. If it has, replace the fuse by ordering one here.
If the problem is not resolved, then contact us to arrange a repair.
No Power
First check to see if the battery is fully charged. If yes, then make sure the battery lead is fully clicked in on the top of the battery. If yes, is the power lead fully connected at the end where it plugs into the base plate of the machine.
If not resolved then you need to check that the charger is fully working and fully charge the battery. Replace fuse/charger if faulty. You can order a new charger here.
Fluid Coming Out But Not Hot
First check to see if the lance light is on. If not, Contact us for further guidance. Is the Fluid dial on 2 to 2.5? If set to a higher number it will cause the fluid to be slightly cooler. Check the battery level and make sure it’s fully charged.
Gas Backpack
No Ignition
Are the gas canisters full? If not, replace with full canisters.
Is the machine switching on? If not, check to make sure the machine is fully charged.

No Fluid
If there is no fluid check for blockages at the nozzle. Use a wire (Fig 2) and should go into the end of the lance approx. 15 inches. Pull the wire back and forth to agitate the blockage. If that does not work, then contact us for further assistance.
