What is Electrostatic Spraying?

With the Covid-19 crisis still in full swing, many companies are offering products that can help eliminate the virus and help you sanitize your home, office, event space, or business. One of these products is the electrostatic sprayer.

Electrostatic sprayers charge liquids as they move through the sprayer nozzle. As the chemical exits the electrostatic sprayer, it’s given a positive electrical charge. The droplets then become attracted to all negative surfaces, covering the visible area, underside and backside, with the sanitizing agent. Surfaces that are already covered will repel the spray, making the method extremely efficient.

What are the Benefits Of Electrostatic Spraying?

Electrostatic spraying greatly reduces the time it takes to cover and disinfect surfaces and hard to reach places. With an electrostatic sprayer, chemicals are applied in a more efficient manner, which eliminates the dangers of overusing a chemical or disinfectant.

The sprayers positively charge the particles so that the disinfectant can aggressively adhere to surfaces and objects, including flat surfaces, fabrics, textured surfaces, and more. If an object is oddly shaped, such as toys or hospital equipment, the electrostatic spraying technology allows for the mist to completely coat all the hard to reach areas.

There is no need to touch or wipe the surfaces after spraying. In most cases, a spray and wipe technique can move bacteria from one surface to another. Cross contamination can be considerably reduced due to the the touchless effect of the electrostatic sprayer.

Used with an EPA approved cleaner, electrostatic spraying is an effective way to improve infection control and the spread of viruses.

Clean Direct’s recommended electrostatic sprayer is the Victory Innovations line.
