Company Founded
2015Serial entrepreneur Garrett McAlister, Unstuff LLC’s Founder and Managing Principal, launches a company enabling customers to turn their stuff into services. During this time he is introduced to SkyVac® cleaning equipment overseas and decides to wholly pivot the business towards this unique opportunity which was not currently available in North America.
SkyVac® North America
2016SkyVac® North American distribution begins. Gutter Cleaning Equipment, High Dusting Equipment, and other specialized cleaning systems become available.
Gutter Cleaning Association
2016Proudly launched the first Gutter Cleaning Association, uniting gutter-cleaning professionals worldwide through our online platform and Facebook community. What started as a vision to bring the industry together has grown into a thriving network of 1,500+ members and counting, dedicated to sharing knowledge, improving standards, and elevating the profession.
SkyVac® NA Relocates
2017SkyVac® USA & Canada relocates from Cary, NC to a larger Apex, NC flex space and adds Canada sales to it's program. A few team members are added for sales and operations.
Mosmatic Expansion
2017SkyVac® North America begins adding complementary products to their sales portfolio including MosmaticPro, a dedicated online store offering Mosmatic swivels, pressure washing and car wash accessories. They later become the broadest stocking dealer in North America.
Rebranding Effort
2018As SkyVac® NA continues to broaden its product offerings it needs an overall brand name that better describes all of its products serving both professional specialty cleaners and facilities. The rebranding effort was underway to what would soon become Clean Direct Inc, the home of SkyVac® NA and other specialty cleaning brands.
Ionic Expansion
2019Clean Direct Inc. partners with Ionic Systems, becoming the North American Master Distributor. Ionic is a worldwide market leader in manufacturing pure water window cleaning systems, water-fed poles and accessories.
Sanford Facility
2020Clean Direct Inc. relocates to a much larger facility, formerly the Lee Builder Mart Building in Sanford, NC. The approximately 80,000 sq ft facility was owned by the Lett Family. Remodeling began, even before final purchase in December of 2020. The timing could not have been better, since an impending COVID-19 Pandemic was upon us and more operational space was drastically needed for growth.
Clean Direct / SkyVac® NA Signage
2021After 2 years of facility clean up and remodeling, a new showroom and roof, Clean Direct signage finally faces the North Horner Blvd corridor and is visible to US Hwy 1.
Goodbye Gum! Launches
2024Clean Direct Inc. expands its specialty cleaning solutions with the introduction of the Goodbye Gum!® product line, offering innovative gum and residue removal systems for professional cleaners and facilities. This addition strengthens the company’s commitment to providing comprehensive surface cleaning technologies across North America.
Storm Modular Softwash / Pressure Wash / Pure Water System Launches
2025Clean Direct Inc. launches the Storm™ product line, a powerful new brand of high-performance cleaning systems designed for professionals. The Storm™ line embodies Clean Direct’s innovation in industrial-grade soft washing, pressure washing, and pure water solutions, engineered for maximum efficiency and durability.
