Ionic Systems water softeners typically regenerate every 2-3 days, but the exact frequency can vary depending on several factors. Proper regeneration ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your softener system.

How to Regenerate

In order to regeneration your water softener, you need to run a salt back wash using the salt wash canister. Please see our instruction video on the next tab.
This normally takes 5-8 minutes for each water softener. It is important that all of the salt has been dissolved and the only thing that remains in the clear housing is water.
